The Dance of Learning: The Power of the Right Guide

Sometimes, even the simplest of things can become complicated, especially when taught by the wrong hands. Throughout different stages of our lives, the teachers, masters, and mentors we encounter play significant roles in molding our skills. However, this influence isn't always positive. Here are some lessons from my journey through learning.

Initial Steps

My early school years were overshadowed by a teacher's hasty judgment. I was quickly labeled, but this didn't mean I lacked ability. Perhaps the real issue was that my teacher didn't take the time to understand me.

Apprenticeship Years

I worked as an apprentice under various masters. Some made my experience challenging, but it was because they couldn't recognize my skills. For them, the issue was my unfamiliarity with the tools, but for me, the challenge was their inadequacy in teaching me.

Academic Life

University courses were made complex and hard to grasp. This wasn't due to my lack of understanding, but because certain instructors couldn't convey subjects in a clear and impactful manner.

My Father and I

While assisting my father with car repairs, I faced a similar scenario. He would explain, and I'd fail to grasp. Yet again, the problem wasn't my understanding but rather his inability to articulate what he wanted precisely.

Conclusion

These experiences taught me this: Teaching and learning is a complex dance. Both parties need to get their steps right. If we're not grasping something, perhaps the issue isn't with us but with the one across from us.

Today, I'm in a position where I've honed my skills and work as a software developer for an international company. This understanding of the dynamics of teaching and learning has been enlightening.

Sometimes, we overlook our talents because the right guidance to bring them out is missing. When we believe in ourselves and find the right mentorship, we truly realize the value of our capabilities.
